Sad

First of all, I have to wish my mom a very happy birthday! I love you mom.....

So, my aunt Bonnie from North Dakota was supposed to come down for a month to join us at our first annual family reunion. Well, she got all the way to Parawon and she rolled her car. She is going to live, but she broke her neck and back and the doctors say that she will never walk again. I am at a mix of feelings right now, and am grateful that she made it through the accident, but I know that she is going to have a long hard recovery. For this I am very sad. I love her and hate anyone in my family hurting.

So, please pray for her and hopefully (if it is God's will) she will make it through this challenge in her life. She is a tough cookie and I have to believe that she will do everything in her power to walk again and play with her dogs.

I love you Bonnie!!

Swimming

Thanks to my wonderful friend Kari, here are the pictures of Fathers Day swimming. Now, to set up the plot, first let me tell you it really wasn't about us, it was about the "Dads". They left first thing in the morning to go golfing, so Kari and I decided that we would take the kids swimming. So, we called Jenn and we packed up snacks and were at the pool by 11:00AM.

Gareth and Bryan finally showed up around 3PM, and we swam the night away. Finally all packing up to go home around 7:30ish. So, THANK YOU, Uncle Brian and Aunt Kathy for letting us steal your pool for the day.

My Birthday

As most of you know, I recently had a birthday. I Holly turned 28, on the 5th of June (thanks to all of you that remembered, and RUDE for those of you that forgot, lol).

For my birthday, Gareth bought me 2 tickets to see Kenny Chesney in concert in Las Vegas. I was so excited. I saw him last year with my girl Kari, and promised Marla that I would take her this time.

We decided that we were going to stay the night in Vegas, so we could get our drink on. We went to dinner at Dicks Last Resort, which was an adventure in itself. The we got ready and went to the MGM for the concert.

I swear the security guard that I was a weirdo. I didn't try to smuggle in a camera or bring in any weapons, no.... I had 2 pairs of shoes in my purse. LOL, he looked at me with a puzzled look, but what? Mar and I had to walk a mile and we didn't want to walk it in heels. So we put the heels on after we got to the concert. (Yes, we are dorks)

Needless to say, we had a FABULOUS time and I can't wait to do it again.......

Bucket List

So I am totally stealing this from my friend Kim and the movie, The Bucket List.

Anyway, a bucket list is just a list of things you'd like to accomplish in your life before you kick the bucket. So here is the start of mine. I plan to add things to it and mark them off as I accomplish them.

1. Be totally and completely debt free

2. Buy a house

3. Learn to Snowboard

4. Raise my boys to be the best men they can be

5. Go Sky Diving

6. Go to Austrailia

7. Take my family on an awesome vacation, which they will never forget

8. Celebrate 30 years with Gareth

9. Celebrate New Years in Time Square, NYC

10. Spend an entire summer camping

Okay so like I said there will be more things added to the list as I think of them.

Busy, Busy, Busy

A lot has been going on the past couple months with the Ewell Family. The boys have been playing little league. This has been in adventure in itself. They have had 2 practices and 2 games every week since the 1st of April. I am not complaining, but geeze, I felt like I was constantly running, lol.

Well, this week were the final games for the boys. Cadyn playing on Wednesday, and Eastyn playing last night. Cadyn's team lost by one point, but they all tried their hardest. Eastyn team won by forfeit, but instead of not playing the last game, we gave the other team a player so we could still play! Cadyn's league doesn't do a playoff, but we will find out if Eastyn's team made it by Monday.

Other news, Gareth and I got a new car (well new to us). It is a 2007 Saturn Aura

It is a really cute car, loaded to the max, which is weird for me since I have always only had power windows & locks. So it will take some getting used too, lol.

The Ewell Family

FamilyHi everyone, we are the Ewell family. Here is a little history on how we became a family. Gareth and I started dating back in 1996 and got married later that year. In 1997 we became the proud parents of Eastyn Tyrell, he weighted in at 6pds 4oz (even being 2 months early). After him being in the hospital for 3 weeks we finally were able to take him home. In 1998 we became proud parents again, Cadyn Garold weighted in at 7pds 15oz. Cadyn has had a lot of struggles in his little life, with being born with a cleft lip/palate and then being diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) or in lamon terms, brittle bones.

We are a fun loving family who loves to be outdoors, and loves to hang out with family and friends.
