Quote of the day

Never regret. If it's good, it's wonderful. If it's bad, it's experience.

Super Proud Mommy

Today is such a bitter sweet day!

Eastyn had his last day in Intermediate School and Cadyn had his last day in Elementary School. There are no words to describe of how proud I am of them but I am also sad..

I am sad that they are growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday they were 3 & 4. Where has all the time gone????

Busy, Busy, Busy

Our Family

The most amazing picture EVER!!!!

Well, we have been so busy lately in this Ewell Household. As most of you know, we went to Mexico again in April. We took the kids, and it was AMAZING!!!! We also have been doing baseball practices, games and still dealing with school, homework & all the other duties that we all have to do! Needless to say, it is EXHAUSTING, but a blessing at the same time.

The boys are doing good. They are getting excited that school is almost out for the summer. It is hard to believe that Eastyn is going to be in 8th grade and Cadyn 6th.... Where has the time gone?

Gareth is still hard at work at SunRoc. He just received another promotion!!!! I know, 3 promotions in a year, I think they might just like him ;)

I am still at the theatres, they keep me busy as always. We are now into our busy time, so I have long days, but at least I have an understanding family (well, for the most part).

I promise that I will try to update more often....

Friends

Ever wonder what your life would be like if you didn't have your friends in your lives? Sitting here with my boys, watching them play with their friends, it makes me wonder what it would be like if we didn't have any friends.

I don't know about all of you out there, but my friends are not just friends, they are family! It doesn't matter how long it has been since we have seen/talked to each other- I know that they will always be apart of my life. I don't know what I would do without my friends. Yes, I do know... I would be a lonely old lady, lol

Watching my boys with their friends is so much fun! Hearing their laughter (best sound in the world), watching them learn new games.... It takes me back to when I was younger!

*Flashback moment*

I remember walking to my friends house, riding bikes/scooters, talking on the phone. We would walk down the street singing at the top of our lungs, like we were famous or something. Nothing could tear us apart.

Back then life seemed to go by so slowly. We didn't have a care in the world, or a worry! We could just play- and that is what we did :) We would make up dances, put on plays- we did anything and everything that we could think of! Everyday... Whether we did the same thing or something new, we were always together.

*Back to reality*

Spending time with my friends now is not an every day occurrence, but when we do get together, it is simply wonderful! Of course now we are older, and more sophisticated- we only sing at the top of our lungs in the privacy of our homes or cars (or movie theatres), but we still know how to have a good time.

So, to all my friends old and new... I don't know what I would do without you! I appreciate you all more then you will ever know! To my handsome little boys, remember not to take your friends for granted. Remember to let them know you enjoy hanging out with them... And most of all... Enjoy your youth!!!!!

Slacker

Yes, I know... I am such a slacker! I have been so busy, that I haven't been able to blog. So, "sitting here" at 8:30P, I will update you all on our family!

As most of you know, I am no longer working for Planet. This in itself was a very sad time for me. I miss all of the agents so much, but thankfully I can keep in touch with all of them.

My new job, is working as a Manager at the movie theatre. I am learning so much. I never realized what it took to actually get the movie up on the screen. Very Interesting!!!

Cadyn & I just got back from Salt Lake City for his OI clinic. He also had his PAM treatment & Dexa Scan while we were there. He was so tough. They had to poke him 3 times to get the IV in, but still had a wonderful attitude. His Dexa results will be back in about a week, and then we will know if they want to keep him on the Pam. His doctors also said that his bones look good, so far, he has no bowing in his long bones, and his back is still straight... For this we are very happy!

In other news, Gareth has been working very hard, the boys are doing AWESOME in school and life just couldn't be better!!! (unless we were back on the beach, and a millionaire, lol )

Love you all =)

Life

How do you define life? Is it the amount of money you have, how big your house is, the position at work? What is your definition of life?

I'd rather be a failure at something I love, than a success at something I hate! ~George Burns

I would have to agree with George Burns! Life isn't about materialistic things, or how much money you have. You could be the poorest person, but as long as you have family and friends, to you it feels like you're the richest.

Thinking about where we are heading in this world, with the economic crisis and the inability of change, we all need to change our priorities. We may not have a job in the next few months, or years. We may not have our savings or our 401K's. If that happens, are you still going to be happy? Are you going to feel like you are the luckiest person in the world? I think not!!

We can be sure that the greatest hope for maintaining equilibrium in the face of any situation rests within ourselves ~ Francis J. Braceland

It's our time to rise, and have our voices heard! Let's put our future in our own hands, and not leave it up to fate! We are smart people, and I know that if we put our minds to it, we can accomplish anything. (Or at least that is what I keep telling myself, lol)

Ugh!!!!

Ok, so I realize my last post was a little PG-13ish, and I apologize for that, but haven't you ever just felt like that? Where you don't care what people think or do? I am having one of those days where I am just irritated. Don't know why I am irritated, I just am. Work is fine, my boys are fine, I am just in one of those moods. I have been under a little bit of stress lately, but all and all I just can't figure out why the irritation!!!

I guess I will just have to chalk it up to the change in the weather (which I LOVE by the way)...

Women, geesh! LOL
