Eastyn Tyrell

As I sit here (yes Kari... I said the dreaded words, lol) and wallow in my tears, I am remembering when I first had Eastyn.... As most of you know he will be 12, yes 12 on the 7th and I don't know where the time has gone!! He has gone from baby to toddler, to little boy to pre-teen wonderful son!!! So, I thought I would dedicate this blog to him, for being a fantastic big brother, and an amazing son.... I LOVE YOU EASTY....

Eastyn was born on Friday, February 7th, 1997 (2/7/97 lucky huh?) almost 2 months premature. He was a stubborn little man even in the womb. I remember laying in the hospital bed, all the monitors on and the nurses saying that I was going to be in the hospital for at least 3 more weeks.... And that I needed to keep him from coming. He wasn't ready!!!! Well, that is when it all started.... (Sit back and relax, come on a journey of Eastyns life with me....*soft elevator music in the back ground*)

When the doctors decided to admit me to the hospital on Thursday night (around 11PM), Gareth and my mom decided that they needed to go get a coffee.... When they walked out of the room, that is when the fun began...MY WATER BROKE... Well, as most of you know, when your water breaks, that means you are having a baby!!!

Gareth and my mom decided to come and check on me, when they got to the room, they saw about 4 nurses franticially working on me. Gareth had that "Deer in the headlights" look on his face, and asked what was going on.... Me not to happy, (because everyone told me that if I had the baby now, he would most likely be 2 pounds if that, and have only a 25% chance of living) said that we were having a baby!!! Well, the next few hours we waited for the doctors to get ready for the c-section, and just tried to stay calm....

Well, at 7:02AM Eastyn Tyrell Ewell, made his grand appearence into this world.... He weighted in at 6pds, 4oz and was 17inches long! (I know, could you imagine how BIG he would be if I would have carried him full term? LOL )

When he was born, they put him on oxegyn and put a feeding tube in him, since he didn't really have the sucking motion down yet, but all and all... He was pretty dang healthy (thanks to his weight). He did go a little down hill the next day where he stopped breathing and they had to do a spinal tap on him to see why.... Well as you can see, he didn't feel a thing. He actually fell ASLEEP.....

Since then he has grown in so many ways! He is amazing at science and loves animals! He has been the best big brother that Cadyn could have asked for, and hardly ever complains. I truley am blessed that he is in my life. He amazes me everyday, by the things he learns, his personality and his humor... The boy is pure GENUIS!!!!!

Oh, how I love the weekends!!!

First of all, I would like to thank all of the Veterans that have given us the opportunity to be where we are today. Without you brave soldiers we wouldn't be here! Happy Veterans Day!!

Ok, so this past weekend was Gareth's birthday. He was playing in a softball tournament in Mesquite, so I decided that we could celebrate down there by watching him play, and then going to kick back at the lounge! So, I packed up, called some friends and we headed to Mesquite!

And that is where it all happened...............

We are at the games, the first game to be exact, and Gareth's team is up to bat, first inning...Foul ball..... CRASH....... Yep, that was my car it hit!!!!!!

So, as I am walking over to survey my car, thinking that I am going to have one hell of a dent on my roof, or the side of my car.... that is when I saw his face!!! Another ball player walking to his car to move it, so it didn't get hit.... He had this "Deer in the headlights" look on his face. I knew it wasn't going to be good. I get up to my car, and I saw it!!!!!!







Oh yeah.... That is my back window!!!!! The ball went through one side and out the other! *Super Fun*

So, Meg, Dave & I left the ball fields and went to vacuum up all the damage, got me some beer to calm my nerves and went back to the game. The good news is at least Gareth's team won!!

At this point I was starving, so we left Gareth at the games and went back to the hotel to eat at Dennys! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS!!!!! I don't know if it was the food, stress or what, but I got sick right after eating there! (No, it wasn't alcohol induced- I only had 1 beer)

Yeah, not so much the weekend I envisioned!!!!!!!!

*11/12/08 UPDATE:
So, I forgot to mention one of the funny things about this - While at Wal-Mart taping up the back window, someone actually asked "Did your window break?" without hesitation Dave replied back, "Nope, we just wanted to tape the back window up for privacy!"..... HERE'S YOUR SIGN!!!

Happy Birthday Cadyn!!!!

Well, Cadyn is finally 10!!! Can you believe it? So, since Cade has never really had a birthday party (he chooses to go to the fair instead), we decided to throw him a surprise birthday party. Sure, he figured it out when he got home because of all the cars at our house, but never the less... It was a really fun night! Enjoy the pictures......

My Birthday

As most of you know, I recently had a birthday. I Holly turned 28, on the 5th of June (thanks to all of you that remembered, and RUDE for those of you that forgot, lol).

For my birthday, Gareth bought me 2 tickets to see Kenny Chesney in concert in Las Vegas. I was so excited. I saw him last year with my girl Kari, and promised Marla that I would take her this time.

We decided that we were going to stay the night in Vegas, so we could get our drink on. We went to dinner at Dicks Last Resort, which was an adventure in itself. The we got ready and went to the MGM for the concert.

I swear the security guard that I was a weirdo. I didn't try to smuggle in a camera or bring in any weapons, no.... I had 2 pairs of shoes in my purse. LOL, he looked at me with a puzzled look, but what? Mar and I had to walk a mile and we didn't want to walk it in heels. So we put the heels on after we got to the concert. (Yes, we are dorks)


Needless to say, we had a FABULOUS time and I can't wait to do it again.......
