God Bless the Fallen!!!!

(Make sure you watch the video)
Where were you Tuesday, September 11th, 2001? What were you doing when you heard the news? I bet still to this day, 7 years later you remember.

I was in St. Louis, MO. I attending a conference for my job (BY MYSELF), and remember that I was sitting on the floor, curling my hair when I first heard the news on the Today Show. I already had a fear of flying and remember calling my mom! I told her that this wasn't good, and that I didn't want to fly home that day. She calmly (half asleep) said; "Oh Holly, stop being dramatic; accidents happen, you will be fine". She must have turned the TV on right at the same time the 2nd plane hit the tower because I remember the horror in her voice after that. Now I was worried......

I checked out of my room, went to the last of my class- when the door opened and a older gentlemen came in crying. I remember getting the worse feeling and my stomach just dropping when he told us that the Towers have fell, the Pentagon was hit, and they have grounded all planes!! (Now, remember I was to fly home this very day and had already checked out of my hotel)

We all left class to try to get a hold of love ones and to try to figure out what to do. It was very chaotic, people crying, people yelling. I remember trying to get a hold of my employer, and finally got through. I then called Gareth, and just hearing his voice made me tremble.

That night, I called my boys.... Not knowing when I would see them, I wanted to reassure them that I was alright! I remember Eastyn..... 4 years old, and wise beyond his years... He told me not to fly... He told me; "That I should have taken the bus, and now the plane went into the building and all those people died"... I wonder if he knew? He was so determined that I didn't fly even before I left...

Well, finally on the 17th, I got a plane flight home! But as for the memory of that day... It will forever be in my heart!!!

I WILL never forget!

GOD BLESS THE FALLEN & THE HERO'S
